What is the physiological role of the components contained in DELPHYS®?

VITAMIN D is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a key role in the body. Once metabolized by the liver and converted into its active form, its metabolites act as "hormones" by binding to the various receptors on the various organs and tissues of the uterine wall. Scientific studies show an association between vitamin D deficiency and the risk of developing uterine fibroids; this association depends on the high sensitivity of the fibroid cells. Vitamin D regulates cell proliferation, therefore, the integration of vitamin D in patients with uterine fibroids can contribute to the control of their possible development as reported in recent clinical studies.

EPIGALLOCATECHIN GALLATE (EGCG) is one of the catechins extracted from green tea. Scientific studies have demonstrated how patients with uterine fibroid who took EGCG for 4 months showed a significant reduction in the volume of fibroma. Further studies have highlighted the antioxidant and anti-proliferative properties of EGCG, such as to promote greater protection of cells from damage caused by free radicals and the onset of neoplasms and their diffusion.

VITAMIN B6 (or pyridoxine) is a water-soluble vitamin found in various foods. In the organism it is transformed into the biologically active form, acting as a coenzyme in different metabolic reactions. Scientific evidence has shown that a hormonal imbalance favors the formation of uterine fibroids. Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and its supplementation is advantageous in maintaining normal physiological conditions.
